Clifton Dental Practice was
established circa 1960 to provide excellent, quality dental care
for the whole family in the York and surrounding area. There are a
good number of highly competent Dentists practicing in the York
area, but few who can boast the longevity of our practice.
We currently have three dentists at
the practice. All have vast experience of general dental practice
qualifying locally from the excellent Leeds Dental Institute.
Undertaking our dental degree locally enables us to refer to a
wide local network of known specialists for second opinons and
further treatment. These specialists include orthodontists, Dental
restorative consultants and Dental Implantologists in the
York and Leeds area.
Our cosmetic treatments include
tooth coloured fillings, crowns and veneers and our very popular
home tooth whitening procedure.
We also provide partial and
full dentures to make the most of your smile.
Our preventative treatments
include routine examinations with our dentists and regular gum
treatment with our hygienist. We can make gumshields to fit your
mouth and maximise protection from sports injury.

Our qualified, professional

They adhere to a strict
confidentiality policy and to the latest guidelines on cross
infection control.
Our practice is working towards full
compliance with decontamination requirements recently issued
within the health technical memorandum (HTM 01-05) by the
Department of Health. Our aim is to work towards best dental
practice which involves creating a designated decontamination
room fitted with rinsing sinks, washer disinfectors and vacuum
autoclaves to fully sterilise all dental instruments. This
process is currently achieved within the dental surgery
treatment area.
Our clinical team are continually
assessed by a modular continued professional development scheme
which covers all aspects of dental practice from medical emergencies,
disinfection and decontamination to legal and ethical issues and
radiography.
Our practice is a member of the Good Practice Scheme awarded by
the British Dental Association which is
