I spent 2 years working and training to be a dental nurse at Leeds Dental Institute.  After qualifying in 2000 I went on to work both in a  NHS and private general dental practices for the following 3 years in North and East Yorkshire, during this time I also attended a part time university course at Leeds Metropolitan university in order to to gain extra qualification to enable me to get on the Dental Hygiene course.
In 2005 I qualified (DIP DentHyg Newc) from Newcastle University/Dental Hospital as a Dental Hygienist and moved back to the area, and have since worked at Clifton Dental Practice and also another practice in the York area.
Away from work I enjoy trying to keep fit and spending time with my family and friends.
